Crack Crackers
Makes: 24 servings
Prep time: 5 minutes
Total time: 1 hour, 5 minutes
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 (1-ounce) package Ranch dressing mix — remove 1 tablespoon of the Ranch seasoning before adding
- 1 tablespoon Rolfe Rub — add in place of the removed Ranch seasoning
- 1 tablespoon dried dill
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 (16-ounce) packages bite-size Cheez-It crackers
Directions
Preheat oven to 300°F.
Whisk together the olive oil, the modified Ranch seasoning, Rolfe Rub, dried dill, and garlic powder in a large bowl.
Add the bite-size Cheez-It crackers and toss to coat evenly.
Divide the crackers between 2 large rimmed baking sheets and spread in an even layer.
Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
Cool on the pans for about 30 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Store in large zip-top plastic bags or airtight containers.
Important modification from the original recipe: Before using the Ranch packet, take out 1 tablespoon of Ranch seasoning and replace it with 1 tablespoon Rolfe Rub. The note also specifically recommends using bite-size Cheez-Its.
